Quick and Easy 15 minute Chicken Pasta

Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins | Total Time: 15 mins | Yield: 4 Servings

My go-to weeknight meal! This Chicken Pasta is one heck of a satisfying dish, plus this is super easy, and quick to make. Ready in just fifteen minutes, this almost one-skillet meal is super cheesy and delicious! The gooey, sticky cheese will make you want to dig right in! Family-friendly, easy on the budget, and sure to keep!

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts cut in strips

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 medium yellow onion chopped

1/2 bell pepper chopped

3 cloves of garlic minced

1/2 tsp EACH salt, pepper, & garlic powder

1 c marinara sauce

1/2 c mozzarella or Italian blend cheese

1/4 c Parmesan cheese optional

3 c cooked pasta 1.5 c dry pasta

How to make Quick and Easy 15 minute Chicken Pasta

Step 1: Place a medium saucepan with 2 cups of salted water on the stove. Allow it to boil.

Step 2: Add 1 1/2 cups of uncooked pasta. Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes or until al dente.

Step 3: Meanwhile, slice the bell peppers, onion, and chicken breasts.

Step 4: Place a pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 5: Add 1 tablespoon of oil and allow it to become hot.

Step 6: Add the onion and bell pepper. Sauté for about 2 minutes or until translucent.

Step 7: Add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds or until aromatic.

Step 8: Add the chicken, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for a few minutes until brown.

Step 9: Add in the marinara sauce. Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Step 10: Add the drained pasta into the chicken mixture. Stir until well combined.

Step 11: Add the cheese and remove the pot from the heat. Cover and allow the cheese completely.

Step 12: Add the Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
