Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

Get this together quickly and easily. Pumpkin Spice Cake has a moist base with insanely delicious Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting. The perfect fall dessert that you can whip up whenever!

Ingredients

1 (15 oz) can canned pumpkin puree

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp ground cloves

1 tsp ground nutmeg

1 (18.25 oz) package yellow cake mix with pudding

¼ c vegetable oil

2 Eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ c butter softened

4 (3 oz) packages cream cheese, softened

2 c confectioners’ sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

How to make Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.

Step 2: Ready a 9 x 13-inch pan. Grease, flour, and set aside,

Step 3: Combine the pumpkin, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Set aside.

Step 4: Place the cake mix and oil in a large bowl. Mix well.

Step 5: Add in the eggs and beat.

Step 6: Fold in the pumpkin mixture, then stir in the vanilla.

Step 7: Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and place inside the preheated oven.

Step 8: Bake for about 40 minutes. To check the doneness of the cake, insert a toothpick in the centre. Once it comes out clean, the cake is perfect!

Step 9: Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool.

Step 10: Prepare the cream cheese frosting: Start by creaming the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add in the confectioners’ sugar. Beat until smooth. Then, mix in the cinnamon and vanilla.

Step 11: Generously spread the frosting over the entire cooled cake.
