2 tbsp oil
4 bone-in pork chops
2 c. sliced onions
1/3 c. sour cream
1 c. beef broth
2 tbsp – 1/4 c. milk for thinning gravy
2 tbsp flour
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp pepper
How to make Pork Chops in Sour Cream Gravy
Step 1: In a large saute pan, heat the oil. Once hot, add the pork chops to the pan and sear each side over low to medium heat until browned. Transfer the pork chops to a plate when done.
Step 2: To the same pan, add the onions and saute until tender. Add the beef broth and pepper. Stir and place the pork chops back to the pan with the accumulated juices. Over the pork chops, spoon the onions. Let the mixture simmer and continue to cook the pork chops for approximately 12 minutes until no longer pink in the middle. When done, transfer the pork chops and onions to a plate.
Step 3: Place the sour cream and flour in a medium bowl. Mix well until incorporated, then add this to the broth, whisking until combined. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce. Add more milk if the gravy turned out too thick until you reached your desired consistency. Return the pork chops and onion to the pan and cook further until heated.
Step 4: Remove from the heat and serve the pork chops immediately. Enjoy!
