1 pound ground beef
½ onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 (13.8-ounces) can refrigerated pizza dough
1 (8-ounces) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8-ounces) bottle Parmesan-peppercorn dressing, divided
How to make Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and crumbly. When done, drain excess grease.
Step 3: Into the beef mixture, add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to incorporate.
Step 4: On a large greased rimmed baking sheet, unroll the dough and press it into a large rectangle. Evenly sprinkle over a cup of cheese, top with beef mixture, making sure to leave an inch space on all sides. Top with a cup of cheese and drizzle with ¼ cup dressing.
Step 5: Roll the dough up starting at one long side, and seal by pinching the ends.
Step 6: On a baking sheet, place the rolled dough seam-side down. Make slits in inch intervals.
Step 7: Place inside the preheated oven. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until deep golden brown.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and allow to sit for at least 10 minutes before slicing.
Step 9: Slice and serve with the rest of the dressing for dipping.
