INGREDIENTS
8 oz Ribeye Steak thinly sliced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp butter
1 green bell pepper sliced
1 yellow onion sliced
4 oz mushrooms sliced
1 loaf French bread cut in half lengthwise
1/4 c. mayonnaise
8 oz Provolone cheese sliced
HOW TO MAKE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK CHEESY BREAD
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper.
Step 3: In a cast-iron skillet, heat the canola oil over high heat.
Step 4: Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes until the meat is nicely seared, and don’t flip.
Step 5: Add in the Worcestershire sauce and toss to coat the meat.
Step 6: Take the steak out of the pan and set aside.
Step 7: In the same pan, add the butter, bell peppers, onion, and mushroom. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes while occasionally stirring.
Step 8: On both sides of the halves bread, spread the mayonnaise.
Step 9: Add the Provolone cheese slices on the bread, then the steak, and vegetables. Top with the rest of the cheese.
Step 10: On the middle rack of the oven, place the bread and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes until brown.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and slice the bread into two-inch thick slices. Enjoy immediately.
