PHILLY CHEESE STEAK CHEESY BREAD

My kryptonite. Impress everyone with this Philly Cheese Steak Cheesy Bread. Enjoy a taste of Philly in the morning, afternoon, or evening. Ready in under twenty-five minutes, this easy and quick dish you can serve in a crowd.

INGREDIENTS

8 oz. Ribeye Steak thinly sliced

salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp canola oil

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp butter

1 green bell pepper sliced

1 yellow onion sliced

4 oz. mushrooms sliced

1 loaf French bread cut in half lengthwise

1/4 c. mayonnaise

8 oz. Provolone cheese sliced

HOW TO MAKE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK CHEESY BREAD

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.

Step 2: Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper.

Step 3: In a cast-iron skillet, heat canola oil over high heat.

Step 4: Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet. Sear for about 2 minutes or until the meat is cooked through. Note to not flip the steak.

Step 5: Add the Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Toss to coat the meat.

Step 6: Take the pan out of the heat. Immediately add the butter to the skillet with bell peppers, onion, and mushroom.

Step 7: Season according to taste. Return to the heat and cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8: Over both halves of the bread, spread the mayonnaise. Top each slice with Provolone cheese.

Step 9: Add the steak and vegetables, then sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.

Step 10: Place inside the preheated oven in the middle rack position. Cook the Philly cheesesteak for about 10 to 15 minutes until browned.

Step 11: When done, remove from the oven. Slice into two-inch thick slices and enjoy immediately.
