Enjoy pepperoni pizza in a casserole with this easy ad quick recipe. It is made with the same ingredients as our favourite pepperoni pizza and ready in no time.

Busy days are nearly coming. The kids are back to school, and I have to get back to my usual 8-5 job. A casserole is a great option for busy days. Leftovers are quick to reheat, and you can never g wrong with casseroles. This Pepperoni Pizza Casserole has been my family’s favourite ad my go-to for years. We love pizza, and to enjoy the same flavour and goodness of it in a casserole any time of the day or week is priceless!

Ingredients

1/2 lb. Italian turkey sausage, casings removed

2 c. mozzarella, shredded

4 oz. pepperoni

1/2 c. sliced black olives

8 oz. ricotta

3 c. (24 oz.) pizza sauce or marinara sauce

12 oz. pasta (gluten-free for gluten-free)

1/2 tsp oregano (optional)

1/2 c. parmigiano reggiano (Parmesan), grated

How to make Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta, but stop 3 minutes early. Drain when done and set aside.

Step 2: In a large saucepan, cook the sausage over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes.

Step 3: Combine the sauce, sausage, 3/4 of the olives, and pepperoni. Set aside.

Step 4: Mix the cheeses (ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan) and set them aside.

Step 5: In the bottom of a large baking dish, place half of the pasta and top with half the sauce, then half of the cheese mixture. Do another layer of pasta, sauce, and cheese mixture. Lastly, top everything with the rest of the olives, pepperoni, and oregano.

Step 6: Place in a preheated 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C oven and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes, covered with foil, until the sides are bubbling. Uncover and continue to bake for additional 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and begins to turn golden brown.

Option: Feel free to use your preferred pizza toppings!
