This is my favourite Thanksgiving dessert – chocolatey, rich Pecan Pie Brownies that you’ll enjoy all year round!
I have been experimenting with desserts lately. I love my long-time fave pecan pie cake so much, so I thought of making a brownie version. I knew it’s going to be a hit with its gooey, nutty filling baked right over these rich chocolate brownies.

INGREDIENTS
1 box Brownie mix, must have instructions for making in 13×9 pan (including the ingredients listed on the package)
PECAN PIE FILLING:
1 c. Sugar
1 1/2 c. Light Corn syrup
4 eggs
1/4 c. Unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
2 c. Pecans, roughly chopped
HOW TO MAKE PECAN PIE BROWNIES
Step 1: Following the brownie package directions preheat the oven.
Step 2: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla. Cook over medium-high heat while stirring constantly.
Step 3: According to package directions, mix the brownies. Into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan, pour the brownie batter. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Refer to notes for the cooking time.
Step 4: In the meantime, the sugar mixture in the saucepan should already have thickened enough to coat a spoon. Add the pecans and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until you reach a runny oatmeal consistency.
Step 5: Remove the brownies from the oven once it is done pre-baking. Over the brownies, pour the pecan pie filling, spreading it out to completely cover the brownies. Return the brownie from the oven and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes or until the filling is a little jiggly in the middle.
Step 6: Allow the brownies to cool to room temperature before slicing.
NOTE:
Depending on the brand, the cooking time of the brownies varies. Make sure to bake the brownies for half of the baking time listed on the package before adding the cooked pie filling. Then, resume baking until the filling is set.
