CRUST:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 stick butter
1/2 tablespoon salt
PECAN PIE BAR FILLING:
4 large Eggs
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups pecans, in pieces
How to make Pecan Pie Bars
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Combine the flour, half cup sugar, half tsp salt, and 2 sticks of butter in a large bowl or standing mixer. Bet well until dry and crumbly.
Step 3: Grease the bottom of a 10 x 15-inch pan (or any large pan) and line with parchment paper.
Step 4: Transfer the crust mixture into the prepared pan, pressing it firmly to make a crust. Then, place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes.
Step 5: Place the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans in another bowl or standing mixer with the bowl. Mix well and set aside.
Step 6: When done baking the crust, remove it from the oven and immediately pour on top the prepared pecan filling mixture. Distribute evenly using a spatula or spoon.
Step 7: Put it back in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for another 35 minutes.
Step 8: Take the Pecan Pie Bar from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
