This casserole is to die for! It’s tender with a scrumptious, creamy sauce with loads of cheese. The simple sauce is made with sour cream and milk which guarantee a special creamy texture that I love to the bone! Sprinkle this with red pepper flakes for that captivating aroma. This chicken casserole is seriously amazing and one of the best casseroles you’ll ever make!

Ingredients
3 tbsp butter
2 c. chicken, cooked, cut in small bite-sized pieces
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sour cream
3 c. cheese, grated (cheddar, Colby jack, Swiss, or a combination), with 1/2 c. reserved for sprinkling on top
4 c. pasta, cooked and drained (approximately 2 c. uncooked); also use penne, cavatappi, or rigatoni
salt and black pepper to taste
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Step 1: In butter, fry the onion and garlic. Stir in the flour and continue to cook for no more than a minute.
Step 2: To the onion and garlic, add the milk and sour cream. Stir well and cook until thick. Add the cheese and give it another stir.
Step 3: Now, add the chicken along with the pasta, salt, and red pepper flakes. Toss and pour everything in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 4: Place the pan in the preheated 350 degrees F oven and bake the casserole for about 20 to 30 minutes or until the cheese begins bubbling.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
