Oven Baked St Louis Style Ribs

Stick to the ribs Oven-Baked St. Louis Style Ribs that baked to perfection. It is packed with amazing flavour that will surely blow everybody away! If desired, you can also cook the ribs on the grill. It’s so simple, just follow the steps below.

INGREDIENTS

1 c. (or more if needed) Barbecue sauce of your choice

3-4 lbs St Louis Ribs

Spice rub:

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons paprika

1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons dried oregano

1 tablespoon salt

2 teaspoons black pepper

How to make Oven Baked St Louis Style Ribs

Step 1: In a small bowl, place the spice rub ingredients (brown sugar, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper). Mix well until combined, then rub all sides of the ribs with it. Let the ribs sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the ribs to absorb the spices.

Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Position the rack in the middle.

Step 3: In aluminium foil, wrap the ribs and place them on a baking sheet. Put in the preheated oven and bake the ribs for about 2 hours or so until tender.

Step 4: Remove the foil and brush the ribs generously with the barbecue sauce and continue to bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes or until the sauce has warmed up and darker.

Step 5: Take the ribs from the oven and slice them into individual servings. Enjoy!

NOTES:

To cook on the grill:

Start by preheating the grill to 350 degrees F. In aluminium foil, wrap the ribs and place them on the grill. Cook for about 60 minutes.

Remove the foil and generously brush the ribs with the sauce. Wrap it again and continue to grill for another 15 minutes. Unwrap the ribs again and brush with more sauce. Wrap it again in foil and cook for an additional 15 to 25 minutes until tender.
