INGREDIENTS

1 c. (or more if needed) Barbecue sauce of your choice

3-4 lbs St Louis Ribs

Spice rub:

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 tablespoons paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 teaspoons black pepper

1 tablespoon salt

How to make Oven Baked St Louis Style Ribs

Step 1: In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients. Rub this on all sides of the ribs. Let the ribs sit for at least 15 minutes, allowing the ribs to absorb the spices.

Step 2: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Set the oven rack in the middle position.

Step 3: Cover the ribs with aluminium foil and place them on the baking sheet. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for about 2 hours or until tender.

Step 4: When done, take the ribs from the oven and brush them generously with the barbecue sauce. Place the ribs back in the oven. Resume baking for another 20 to 25 minutes or until the sauce has warmed up and darker.

Step 5: Before serving, slice the ribs into individual ribs. Enjoy!

St. Louis Style Ribs on the grill: First, rub the ribs with the seasoning. Wrap them in aluminium foil while preheating the grill to 350 degrees F. Grill the ribs for about 60 minutes, then remove the foil and brush the ribs with the barbecue sauce. Wrap the ribs again and grill for additional 15 minutes. Unwrap and brush the ribs again with more sauce. Wrap the ribs in foil and grill for another 15 to 25 minutes or until tender.
