Only One Bowl Apple Cake

If you have extra apples sitting on your table that are just waiting to rot, you should start making this recipe. This is a super simple recipe that requires only seven ingredients. Only One Bowl Apple Cake takes just fifty-five minutes to make and is good for a least five to six persons. Moist and delicious cake with loads of apples. Hooray to all apple lovers out there!

I super love this cake. It’s pretty simple and delightful. I always serve mine with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I think that makes a big difference to the already great cake not to mention it looks pretty in pictures. You can also find simple homemade icing recipes that will work well with this cake.

Ingredients

2 Eggs

1 3/4 cups sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 cup oil

6 medium gala or fuji or honey crisp apples

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

How to make Only One Bowl Apple Cake

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Add the eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and oil to a large bowl and mix well.

Step 3: Peel the apple, slice, then toss to the bowl to coat with the mixture.

Step 4: Combine the baking soda and flour. Add this to the bowl where the apples are. Using a fork, mix until the flour is completely absorbed by the wet ingredients.

Step 5: Into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan or two 9-inch round pans, pour the mixture. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 55 minutes.
