I love one-pan recipes like this cheesy sausage and pasta recipe. I have been very busy lately, and I am trying to make meals fast that we can easily reheat for a quick weeknight meal. I enjoy this recipe because I can throw this together using only ingredients I already have in my pantry. It is a no-fuss recipe that guarantees the best results. For a gluten-free version, simply use gluten-free pasta.
This dish is pretty amazing, and one of the easiest and quickest you can make any time! I sometimes modify this a little depending on my mood without any worries that it’ll later the taste. 1 pound sausage
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces dry pasta
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ c. diced onion
1 (14 ounces) can diced tomatoes
½ c. milk
2 c. Chicken Broth
¼ teaspoon of Red Pepper Flakes
2 c. shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese
⅓ c. chopped scallions, for garnish
½ tsp salt and pepper, each
HOW TO MAKE ONE PAN CHEESY SMOKED SAUSAGE & PASTA
Step 1: In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onions and sausage to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes. Then, add the garlic along with all seasonings. Continue to cook for additional 2 minutes.
Step 2: Pour in the chicken broth and add the tomatoes, milk, and pasta. Bring everything to a boil, then decrease the heat. Put the lid on and continue to cook for 15 minutes more.
Step 3: Stir in the cheese.
Step 4: Serve this one-pan cheesy smoked sausage and pasta right away garnished with some chopped scallions. Enjoy!
