MONGOLIAN NOODLES WITH GROUND BEEF

Never settle for take-out if you can easily and quickly make something delicious using everyday ingredients. This Mongolian Noodles with Ground Beef is one of my family’s top picks from our favourite Mongolian restaurant. Whenever we are craving, we never think twice to order take out or drive and eat out. But now that I have this recipe, I just make it myself. Taste the same, if not better, plus it’s pretty quick to make.

This recipe is a no-fuss and can easily be modifiable. I made this many times using regular pasta, and it was amazing! Or, for a more authentic Mongolian dish, I use rice noodles. I found this recipe when I was searching for a last-minute meal idea. I was so excited to try it, and from then, I have been making this regularly!

INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground beef

⅓ c. soy sauce

⅓ c. hoisin sauce

⅔ c. beef broth

¼ c. brown sugar

¼ tsp ground ginger

2 cloves of garlic, minced

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

½ tsp ground black pepper

16 ounces box of linguine, spaghetti, or rice noodles

green onion, optional

HOW TO MAKE MONGOLIAN NOODLES WITH GROUND BEEF

Step 1: According to package directions, cook the pasta.

Step 2: In the meantime, cook the ground beef in a large skillet until brown. Drain the grease and return the browned beef to the skillet. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.

Step 3: To the skillet, add the drained noodles and toss to coat with the sauce.

Step 4: If desired, garnish with some chopped green onions before serving. Enjoy!

NOTES:

If desired, add extra red pepper flakes to pump up the spiciness of this dish.

If the sodium content is too high for your reference, feel free to use low sodium soy sauce.
