This is one of my kid’s favourite chicken dishes. Tender and juicy chicken baked on a bed of melted butter and soup mixture. It’s a perfect meal excellent for the entire family! Pair this with any of your preferred sides for a complete and filling meal!
If you are looking for another simple chicken recipe, then you are in the right place! You can even add potato slices before the first 30 minutes of baking for a simple one-pan meal. You can also swap evaporated milk with buttermilk. And to guarantee the best results, I recommended marinating the chicken in buttermilk overnight, so the chicken soaks up all the flavours. Enjoy a very tasty and juicy chicken with this amazing Butter Baked Chicken recipe! Try this family and kid-friendly dish very soon. I’m pretty sure this will become your new favourite!
Ingredients
1/4 c. butter
1 can evaporate milk (12 ounces)
1 c. flour
4 chicken breasts (for this recipe, I use boneless skinless)
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
How to make Mom’s Butter Baked Chicken
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees.
Step 2: In a small dish, pour just enough evaporated milk to dip the chicken. Roll the chicken in seasoned (with salt and pepper) flour after dipping them in the milk.
Step 3: In a 13 x 9-inch pan, melt the butter. Lay the chicken on the melted butter and bake at 425 degrees for about 30 minutes.
Step 4: In a bowl, whisk the water with a can of soup and the remaining evaporated milk.
Step 5: After 30 minutes of baking, turn the chicken over. Pour the soup over the chicken. Return to the oven and resume baking for additional 30 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy!
