HOW TO MAKE MILLION-DOLLAR SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Set a greased 9 x 13-inch pan aside.
Step 2: On medium-high heat, preheat a greased (with cooking spray) large saute pan. Add the onion and saute for about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and continue to cook for a minute until aromatic.
Step 3: To the pan, add the ground beef and continue to cook, breaking the meat apart until browned. When done, drain the excess grease and return the beef to the pan. Sprinkle a tsp of Italian seasonings, then add 2 cups of the marinara sauce. Mix well.
Step 4: Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water about 3 minutes less than the suggested cooking time until al dente. Drain when done and place the spaghetti back in the pot. Pour in a cup of marinara sauce and toss to coat. Set aside.
Step 5: Place the cream cheese, ricotta cheese, garlic powder, and the rest of the Italian seasoning in a medium bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 6: In the prepared 9 x 13-inch pan, place half of the spaghetti in an even layer. On top, evenly spread the cheese mixture. Add another layer of spaghetti on top of the cheese. Evenly spread the beef and sauce on top and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on top. If desired, you can broil the casserole for about 2 to 3 minutes to make the top browner, keeping an eye on the casserole so the cheese won’t burn.
Step 8: Remove from the oven when done and serve immediately. Enjoy!
