HOW TO MAKE MILLION-DOLLAR SPAGHETTI
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Following the package directions, cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain the pasta when done and return it to the pot. Pour in 3 cups or 1 jar of prepared marinara sauce. Stir well and set aside.
Step 3: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet once the oil shimmers and cook for about 5 minutes or until the onion starts to soften. Then, add the sausage and cook while crumbling the meat as it cooks using a wooden spoon until browned. When done, drain well. Then, pour in the rest of the marinara sauce. Set aside.
Step 4: Place the cheese or ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, 1 cup mozzarella, and Italian seasoning in a medium mixing bowl. Mix well and set aside.
Step 5: In the baking dish, place half of the sliced butter. Spread half of the spaghetti and evenly top with the cheese mixture. On top, add the rest of the slices of butter.
Step 6: Over the cheese mixture, spread the rest of the spaghetti and evenly pour the tomato meat sauce on top. Lastly, top with the rest of the mozzarella.
Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 to 45 minutes or until the casserole is heated through.
