I love warm biscuits, straight from the oven flaky biscuits that just melts in your mouth. And these Mile High biscuits you can make straight from your kitchen! The perfect biscuits for me have these three extras – extra tall, extra buttery, and extra flaky. I could not ask for anything more!

I’ve been making these Mile High Biscuits for too long now. I know the recipe by heart, and I want to share this with you. With a few simple ingredients and easy steps, it is hard to mess this up. These biscuits remind me more of those piping hot KFC biscuits they serve to all their family meals, well, this is no difference! And the best thing is you can make one at the very comfort of your home. All you need are only pantry and readily available ingredients. Nothing fancy, or hard to pronounce ingredients, nor a degree. This recipe sure is a no-fuss and a must!

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon plus 1/2 tsp baking powder

3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

3/4 cup butter

1 Egg, beaten

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk

How to Make Mile High Biscuits

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.

Step 2: Combine the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cream of tartar) and cut in the butter using a pastry blender.

Step 3: Mix well the egg and milk. Then, combine with the dry ingredients until moistened.

Step 4: Roll the dough into 1 inch and cut using a 2 1/2 inch cutter.

Step 5: And transfer on an ungreased cookie sheet and place inside the preheated oven. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes until done.
