This comforting pot pie is no doubt melts in your mouth. Made with diced cooked chicken, veggies, and other easy to find ingredients in buttery, flaky pastry. This Chicken Pot Pie is one of my favourite varieties besides beef and plant-based fillings. Classic comfort food that goes a long way and an easy and quick pick me up until dinner meal that your whole family will enjoy.
I usually make this pie if I have leftover turkey or chicken in the fridge. This recipe is a fun way to have something new and delicious on the dinner table. Whenever I tell my kids that we will have chicken pot pie for dinner, they go crazy! It’s their favourite. Creamy and delicious, and a no-fuss. Ingredients
3 cups cooked chicken, diced
10 ounces package frozen mixed vegetables
1 can(s) cream of celery soup undiluted
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter melted
How to make Chicken Pot Pie
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Well grease a shallow 2-quart baking dish.
Step 3: In the baking dish, add the chicken and vegetables.
Step 4: Combine the soup, broth, and pepper. Pour this over the chicken mixture.
Step 5: Mix the flour, milk, and butter until smooth. Then, pour this on top of the mixture.
Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven. Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes or until brown.
