Moist and very delicious, this meatloaf is the best meatloaf you’ll ever make! It is made with pretty much pantry ingredients. The easy sauce is the perfect accompaniment to this tasty and hearty meatloaf.

Serve a slice or two of this meatloaf with green beans, mashed potatoes, or dinner rolls for an easy and satisfying weeknight meal any time. Keep the leftovers in the fridge wrapped tightly with aluminium foil for up to 3 to 4 days for a quick meal.

Ingredients

Meatloaf:

2 lbs lean hamburger

2 eggs

1 onion, chopped

1 c. bread crumbs

½ c. milk

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp minced garlic

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

Sauce:

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

½ c. ketchup

How to make Meatloaf

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F. Using cooking spray, grease a large loaf pan.

Step 2: In a large bowl, place the meatloaf ingredients (lean hamburger, eggs, onion, bread crumbs, milk, Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, tomato paste, garlic powder, and salt & pepper). Mix well using your hands or spoon until well combined.

Step 3: Form the mixture into a loaf and transfer it into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 4: In a small saucepan, whisk the sauce ingredients (Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and ketchup) and bring to a boil. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 5: Over the meatloaf, pour half of the sauce. Place in the preheated oven and bake the meatloaf for about 30 minutes. After thirty minutes, remove from the oven and pour the remaining sauce on top of the meatloaf. Resume baking for additional 45 minutes or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reached 160 degrees F.

Step 6: Before slicing, allow the meatloaf to rest for a little.
