A mash-up! This exciting combination of mashed potato and french fries is delicious and addicting at the same time. One of the many creative snacks that I love. My go-to and my kids favourite, serve with ketchup or mayonnaise or both!
A quick, not-fussy, and super easy snack that is not short in flavour with a lovely texture – these lovelies are pretty much crunchy outside and creamy soft inside. And the heavy cream combined with the potato dough adds mo much more! One bite and you’ll know.

How to make Long Mashed Potato Fries
Step 1: Into 8 equal parts, slice the potatoes. Fry until nice and golden, making sure not to overcook or the potatoes will be too dry.
Step 2: Once perfectly fried, transfer the potatoes into a bowl. Using a potato masher, mash the fried potatoes until smooth.
Step 3: Add the cornstarch, chicken stock powder, black pepper, and salt with the mashed fried potatoes. Mix well until incorporated before stirring in the heavy cream.
Step 4: Then, form the mixture into a ball.
Step 5: Place the potato mixture on a clean table sprinkled with a tbsp of cornstarch. Use a rolling pin to roll the ball to about 30 cm x 15 cm with 1 cm thickness.
Step 6: Slice into 1 cm x 15 cm and sprinkle each slice with cornstarch.
Step 7: Over medium-high heat or 350 degrees F or 170 degrees C, fry the long potato fries until golden brown.
Step 8: Once done, serve the potato fries with mayonnaise or ketchup.
