Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs ground beef, 85/15 fat content
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. hoisin
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1/2 tsp sriracha
2 green onions sliced thinly
4 brioche rolls
How to make Korean Beef Sloppy Joes
Step 1: Add the beef to a large skillet. Cook over medium heat, breaking the meat apart and leaving only some chunk about the size of raspberry or small grape. Keep in mind not to crush the meat so much.
Step 2: Cook the crumbled beef for about 5 to 6 minutes until well browned. Add the garlic, sesame oil, ketchup, hoisin, water, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sriracha. Stir well until combined, and the sauce begins to evaporate giving a sloppy mixture. This takes about 5 to 6 minutes more.
Step 3: On toasted buns, spoon the mixture and top with green onions. Serve and enjoy!
