by Rebecca July 14, 2021

This Macaroni and Cheese is the pride of the famous singer John legend. Delicious, creamy macaroni and cheese that you can easily and quickly make at the comfort of your home. A nice do-away to your usual mac & cheese.

Ingredients

4 tbsp (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, plus more for baking dish

Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

3 c. elbow macaroni

2 (12-oz.) cans evaporated milk

1/3 c. skim milk

2 large Eggs

1/2 tsp seasoned salt

1/4 tsp garlic powder

2 (8-oz.) packages extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1 (8-oz.) package Monterey Jack cheese, grated

Paprika, for sprinkling

How to make John Legend’s Macaroni and Cheese

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees. Grab a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish. Generously butter and set aside.

Step 2: Following the package directions, cook the macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. When done, drain and place the macaroni back in the pot. Add the butter and toss to coat the pasta and the butter has melted, then set aside.

Step 3: Place the evaporated milk, skim milk, and eggs. Add seasoned salt, garlic powder, a tsp salt, and half tsp pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine and set aside. In a different medium bowl, mix the cheeses and set them aside.

Step 4: In the bottom of the prepared baking dish, place 1/3 of the macaroni in an even layer. Evenly add 1/3 of the cheese on top. Do the same with the rest of the macaroni and cheese mixture. Evenly pour the milk mixture on top, then sprinkle with paprika.

Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 to 45 minutes until the top has lightly browned. Remove from the oven and allow the mac and cheese to sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
