Italian Drunken Noodles Recipe

Prep Time: 30 mins | Cook Time: 30 mins | Yield: 6 Servings

This is perfect for date nights! Super easy to make, perfectly delicious, and ready in no time!

Ingredients

1 lb Italian sausage

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 red pepper, diced

1 yellow pepper, diced

1 orange pepper, diced

4 clove garlic, minced

1/2 c white wine (like chardonnay)

1 can(s) diced tomatoes with juice (28 ounces)

2 tbsp parsley

1/4 c basil, fresh

12 oz egg noodles

Fresh Parmesan cheese, optional

How to make Italian Drunken Noodles Recipe

Step 1: Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Step 2: Once the oil is hot, cook and crumble the spice Italian sausage until brown.

Step 3: Transfer the cooked sausage into a small mixing bowl.

Step 4: Add the bell peppers, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into the same pot. Stir for about 2 minutes or until the bell peppers are soft.

Step 5: Stir in the garlic until fragrant.

Step 6: Pour in the white wine and continue to cook until the liquid has reduced.

Step 7: Add and stir the diced tomatoes, olive oil followed by the chopped basil until well mixed.

Step 8: And drizzle over 3 tbsp of olive oil.

Step 9: Place the cooked sausage back into the pan and the chopped parsley, and half of the Julienned basil. Continue to simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 10: Once done, take the pan out of the heat and set aside.

Step 11: Prepare the noodles according to the package directions. Drain and add the noodles into the sauce.

Step 12: Use tongs to mix and coat the noodles.

Step 13: Before serving, sprinkle over the remaining Julliened basil and drizzle with olive oil. Enjoy!
