Ingredients:
Steak:
2 pounds sirloin roast, sliced into 5 pieces
¼ c all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp oil
Sauce:
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium white onion, chopped
2 (16 ounces) cans of diced tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
How to make Instant Pot Swiss Steak
Step 1: Season with salt and pepper on both sides of the sliced meat, then coat with flour.
Step 2: Press the “saute” button on the Instant Pot.
Step 3: Add oil and allow it to become hot, then add the meat. Cook both sides until brown. Transfer the meat onto a clean plate. Repeat this process to the rest of the meat.
Step 4: Put the cooked meat back to the pot and spread the sauce on top.
Step 5: Cover the pot and press the “Stew” button and cook for 30 minutes on high pressure.
Step 6: Do a natural release for about 10 minutes, then allow the rest of the pressure to come out.
Step 7: Transfer the meat and sauce onto a clean serving plate.
To Make the Sauce:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, add the onion, tomatoes, bell pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Step 2: Drizzle over the meat.
