I am a huge fan of casseroles. I have my favorite go-to casserole recipes for every occasion. This Husband’s Delight Casserole is not only the perfect casserole for busy days, but it is also great for entertaining. Made with ground beef, tomato sauce, egg noodles, cream cheese, and cheddar among the other pantry ingredients. This casserole is a no-fuss and takes less than an hour to make. The melty cheese on top and the flavorful creamy filling is more than enough to impress everyone around the table! This Husband’s Delight Casserole is one of the easiest and quickest dinners and will surely become your family’s favorite!
INGREDIENTS
12 ounces egg noodles
1 pound of ground beef
3 ounces cream cheese
1 (24 ounces) jar of marinara sauce
2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
2 c. sour cream
1/2 white onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic salt
How to make Husband’s Delight Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Following the package directions, cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain the pasta when done and set it aside.
Step 3: Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Season with garlic salt. If needed, drain the excess grease before stirring in the marinara sauce. Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes.
Step 4: Place the sour cream, cream cheese, and onion in a medium bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 5: Arrange half of the noodles in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Top with the meat mixture, then the sour cream mixture, and lastly with the rest of the noodles. Then, sprinkle the cheese on top.
Step 6: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 25 minutes.
Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and serve the casserole right away. Enjoy!
