Make this easy Honey Mustard Salmon in Foil fast in the oven or on the grill. Perfectly cooked salmon in an incredibly delicious homemade honey mustard sauce. HONEY MUSTARD SALMON IN FOIL:
1 batch honey mustard sauce
2 lb side of salmon, boneless and skinless
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley leaves
HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE INGREDIENTS:
1/3 c. whole grain mustard
1/4 c. honey
4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp Kosher salt
1/8 tsp black pepper
HOW TO MAKE HONEY MUSTARD SALMON IN FOIL
HONEY MUSTARD SALMON IN FOIL:
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Alternately, you use a grill preheated to medium heat.
Step 2: As directed below, prep the honey mustard sauce.
Step 3: Using a large sheet of aluminium foil, line a large baking sheet. Grease the foil using cooking spray. On the middle of the prepared foil, lay the salmon out. Over the salmon, spoon the honey mustard, evenly spreading it around.
Step 4: Start by folding up the sides of the aluminium foil over the salmon until fully enclosed. You can place the second sheet of foil on top of your foil is not large enough, then fold the edges to form a sealed packet.
Cook In The Oven:
Step 5: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 14 to 15 minutes until the salmon is cooked through. Note that the cooking time varies depending on the thickness of the salmon, so I suggest checking a couple of minutes early if using a thinner cut salmon.
Step 6: When done, take the salmon out of the oven and very carefully open and pull the aluminium foil back. Set the oven setting to broil, place the salmon back in the oven for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 7: Serve the salmon immediately garnished with parsley. Enjoy!
On The Grill:
You can also cook the salmon on the grill. Place the salmon packet on the grill and cook for about 12 to 14 minutes until almost cooked through. Very carefully pull the aluminium foil back to expose the top of the fish. Resume cooking for another 3 to 4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through.
HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE:
Step 8: In a small bowl, place the Honey Mustard Sauce ingredients. Whisk until well combined.
NOTE:
You can use half a cup of mustard if desired or scale back a little on the honey.
