INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed through a garlic press

1/2 c. (125ml) honey ( for non-low-carb, keto diet)

1/2 c. whole-grain Dijon mustard

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1/2 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper

Coarse salt and black pepper

1 lemon, sliced, for garnish

1 tbsp chopped cilantro, for garnish

HOW TO MAKE HONEY GARLIC SALMON BAKED IN FOIL

Step 1: In the middle of the oven., position the oven rack. Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F, or 200 degrees C. Using a piece of foil, line a baking sheet.

Step 2: Place the honey, mustard, lemon juice, garlic, oil, paprika, red pepper flakes, Cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix well until blended and set aside.

Step 3: Onto the lined baking sheet, place the salmon. Pour over the honey mustard mixture, evenly spreading it on the fish. Sprinkle the salmon with salt and cracked pepper.

Step 4: Over the salmon, fold the sides of the foil to completely cover the salmon. Seal the packet.

Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through. Open the foil, then broil the salmon for about 2 to 3 minutes on medium heat until the top is caramelized.

Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and serve the honey garlic salmon baked garnished with cilantro and lemon slices. Enjoy right away!
