by Rebecca December 9, 2020

PREP TIME: 10 mins | COOK TIME: 20 mins | TOTAL TIME: 30 mins | SERVINGS: 4

Melt in your mouth roasted pork tenderloin smothered in an easy honey garlic sauce. A great dish that you can throw together in a heartbeat for a quick weeknight dinner.

INGREDIENTS

1 lb Pork Tenderloin

RUB:

1 tbsp garlic salt

1 tbsp garlic pepper

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tbsp fresh thyme minced

1 tbsp fresh rosemary minced

2 tbsp butter

HONEY GARLIC SAUCE:

1/2 c honey

1/3 c brown sugar

1 tbsp garlic minced

1/2 c light soy sauce

1/3 c orange juice

1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water for slurry

HOW TO MAKE HONEY GARLIC ROASTED PORK TENDERLOIN

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.

Step 2: Drain excess fat from the pork and pierce with a fork in some places.

Step 3: In a small bowl, add the rub ingredients. Stir well.

Step 4: Spread, pressing firmly the rub on every side of the pork.

Step 5: Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork for about 2 minutes on both sides until brown, flipping once.

Step 6: Transfer the skillet inside the preheated oven and roast the pork for about 20 minutes.

Step 7: In the meantime, whisk the honey garlic sauce ingredients except for the cornstarch and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a light boil.

Step 8: To make a slurry, mix the cornstarch and water. Add this to the sauce and whisk until a bit thickened.

Step 9: Baste the pork with honey garlic sauce and broil for 3 minutes at “HI” broil to caramelize the sauce. When done, remove from the oven and rest the pork for at least 5 minutes, covered before slicing.

Step 10: Before serving, garnish with fresh chopped thyme and rosemary. Enjoy!
