1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp fresh rosemary minced
1 tbsp fresh thyme minced
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tbsp garlic pepper
Honey Garlic Sauce:
⅓ c. brown sugar
½ c. honey
1 tbsp garlic minced
⅓ c. orange juice
½ c. light soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water for slurry
How to make Honey Garlic Roasted Pork Tenderloin
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F. After removing the fat from the pork, puncture the pork using a fork in several places.
Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the rub ingredients. Spread it on both sides of the pork. Firmly press the rub on the entire pork.
Step 3: Melt the butter in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Place the pork in the skillet once the butter has melted and sear for about 2 minutes on both sides. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast the pork for about 20 minutes.
Step 4: In the meantime, add the honey garlic sauce ingredients in a small saucepan except for the cornstarch and water. Stir and bring the sauce to a boil. To make the slurry, whisk the cornstarch in water until dissolved. Stir this into the sauce until slightly thickened. When done, take the pan off the heat and set the sauce aside.
Step 5: Take the pork out of the oven and baste it with the honey garlic sauce. Set the oven to “HI” broil and broil the pork for about 3 minutes. This will let the sauce to caramelized. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for about 5 minutes, covered.
Step 6: Slice the pork and serve garnished with some fresh chopped thyme and rosemary. Enjoy!
