This is a mouthwatering, impressive dish with tender and juicy pork chops clothed in a crazy delicious, sticky honey garlic sauce. 4 (4 oz. each) bone-in pork chops, fat trimmed
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
4 cloves garlic minced
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tbsp no-salt ketchup
chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
How to make Honey Garlic Baked Pork Chops
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Place the honey, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, chilli sauce, and oregano in a small mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.
Step 3: In a large bowl, put the pork chops, then pour the sauce over and toss the chops around to coat.
Step 4: In an oven-safe 12-inch skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 2 minutes on each side until just browned.
Step 5: When done, remove from the heat. Add the butter to the chops and place in the preheated oven. Bake the pork chops for about 15 to 18 minutes or until completely cooked. The chops are done once their internal temperature reads 160 degrees F.
Step 6: Once the chops are done, take them out of the oven and onto a serving plate. To serve, spoon the sauce over the pork chops and garnish with parsley. Enjoy!
Notes:
HONEY GARLIC PORK CHOPS ON THE GRILL:
For basting, set aside 2 tbsp of the honey garlic sauce and use the rest to coat the pork chops.
on a greased grill, lay the chops. Close the lid of the grill and cook the chops over medium-high heat for approximately 5 minutes on each side. Baste the chops with the reserved honey garlic sauce twice as they cook.
TO MAKE AHEAD:
In a large Ziploc bag, place the pork chops. Pour the honey garlic sauce over. Seal the bag and rub the to coat the chops. Place the bag in the fridge and leave to marinate the chops for up to 8 hours.
Set the chops on the counter for at least 10 minutes before cooking.
TO FREEZE:
In a large Ziploc bag, place the pork chops. Pour the honey garlic sauce over.
Seal the bag tightly, then place it in the freezer.
When ready to cook, take the bag from the freezer the night before and thaw in the fridge overnight.
