Honey BBQ Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 2 hrs | Total Time: 2 hrs 10 mins | Yield: 8 Servings

Fall off the bone tender Chicken Wings with a mouthwatering Honey BBQ sauce. This incredible slow cooker recipe you can easily prep in just ten minutes. A no-fuss chicken dinner that will impress everyone around the dinner table. Finger licking good, you’ll crave to make this again and again!

Ingredients

Spice Mix:

1 tbsp brown sugar

2 tsp season salt

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp chilli powder

Honey BBQ Sauce:

1 c BBQ sauce

1/2 c honey

2 tbsp hot sauce (I use Frank’s original)

3 tbsp apple juice or apple cider

The Rest:

4 pounds chicken wings, patted dry

2 tbsp cornstarch

How to make Honey BBQ Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

Step 1: Add the spice mix ingredients into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.

Step 2: Put the chicken wings into a slow cooker together with the mixed spices. Toss the chicken wings until well coated with seasonings.

Step 3: In another mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the BBQ sauce, then stir until well blended.

Step 4:Pour the mixture on top of the chicken wings, then toss again until well coated.

Step 5: Cover the pot and cook on a high setting for about 2 hours or 4 hours on a low setting.

Step 6: In a mixing bowl, add cold water and 2 tbsp of cornstarch. Stir until well blended.

Step 7: Pour the dissolved cornstarch into the pot, then stir until well mixed and thick.

Chicken Wings Crispy:

Step 1: Line with foil on a baking sheet.

Step 2: Arrange the chicken wings into the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3: Place them inside the oven and broil for about 3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.

Step 4: Put the chicken wings back to the slow cooker, then toss until well coated with the delicious sauce.

Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
