Homestyle Caramel Bread Pudding

This Homestyle Caramel Bread Pudding is a simple yet stunning dessert. Smooth bread pudding drenched in a heavenly caramel sauce that no one can say no to. This is made with only a few simple ingredients from bread, eggs, milk and sugar. Never let the simplicity of this dessert fool you because this might surprise you. This sure is worthy for any special occasions. Such a delicate and delicious treat that has a smooth texture and tastes heavenly! Ingredients

BREAD PUDDING:

2 c whole milk

1/4 c butter, softened

1/3 c sugar

3 Eggs

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

3 c bread, torn into pieces (any bread, although french bread or raisin bread is great)

1/4 c raisins

SAUCE:

1 c whole milk

2 tbsp butter, softened

1/3 c sugar

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 tbsp flour

dash(es) salt

How to make Homestyle Caramel Bread Pudding

Step 1: Heat the milk until hot. Then, stir in the butter to melt. Once the butter has melted remove from the heat and set aside.

Step 2: Combine the eggs, cinnamon, vanilla, and sugar in a medium mixing bowl until well mixed.

Step 3: Into a bowl, shift the butter and milk mixture. And the pieces of bread to the prepared casserole dish.

Step 4: Pour the butter and milk mixture over the bread and sprinkle with raisins.

Step 5: Bake in the oven for about 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.

Step 6: To make the sauce, add the whole milk, softened butter, sugar, vanilla extract, flour, and a dash of salt in a saucepan. Bring this to a boil over medium heat. Once thoroughly heated, remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool at room temperature.

Step 7: Drizzle the sauce over the cooled bread pudding and serve warm. Enjoy!
