This is the best Homemade Meatloaf! Juicy and flavorful on the inside with spread of luscious glaze outside. Ingredients
Meatloaf:
2 pounds ground beef (90% lean)
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp ground paprika
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp Kosher salt
1 small onion (finely diced)
1 tbsp garlic (minced)
1 c. bread crumbs (plain)
1 c. milk
2 Eggs (beaten)
1 c. cheddar cheese (shredded)
Meatloaf Glaze:
1/3 c. ketchup
1 tbsp tomato paste
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
How to make Homemade Meatloaf
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Using aluminium foil, cover a rimmed baking sheet and lightly grease with oil, then set aside.
To Make the Meatloaf:
Step 3: In a bowl, place the meatloaf ingredients exactly how it is written in the ingredients list up to the bread crumbs. Stir well before pouring in the milk and adding in the beaten egg. Mix well until just combined.
Step 4: Stir in the cheddar cheese, making sure not to overbeat. Then, into a loaf shape, form the beef mix and transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
To Make the Meatloaf Glaze:
Step 5: In a small glaze, combine the glaze ingredients until well mixed, then brush half of the glaze on the entire meatloaf.
To Bake:
Step 6: Place the meatloaf in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes until the internal temperature reads 160 degrees F. Remove from the oven and brush with the rest of the glaze, then continue to bake for 15 minutes more.
Step 7: Allow the meatloaf to cool for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
