I remembered my mom. She used to love the Kraft pasta salad mix. A no-fuss pasta salad she made for us back in the days. All of a sudden she stopped buying it and made her version of the ever-popular Kraft pasta salad mix. And hers is a million times better! I recalled her complaining about Kraft becoming cheaper, and everything she loved about their salad mix is all in the wind now; the real bacon bits and the perfect amount of mayonnaise. This homemade Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad is her thing now. She made this first a few years ago, and it instantly became a favourite at our house. Always a huge hit on potlucks, picnics, and during bbq weekend.
This simple, light and delicious salad is a breeze to make using only seven ingredients. It has just the right amount of everything. And it has real bacon bits that we missed so much from Kraft. You can even add diced boiled eggs to it f desired.

My mom receives endless compliments whenever she serves this salad. Everyone asking for a recipe so they can also make this at home. I cannot exactly say that this is a copycat recipe because it tastes all original using fresh ingredients.
Ingredients
1 box (12 ounces) small shell pasta
1 cup frozen English peas, thawed
1 medium carrot, peeled and grated
1 small tomato, seeded and diced
12 ounces bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 pkg ranch dressing mix
How to make Homemade Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad
Step 1: In a large bowl, place all the ingredients (shell pasta, frozen English peas, carrot, tomato, bacon, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing mix). Lightly toss so everything is well incorporated.
Step 2: Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours or more to chill before serving. Enjoy!
