Incredibly easy to Make Homemade Alfredo Sauce from scratch. Rich, creamy, and goes so well with your favourite pasta or pizza. Forget the bottled sauce and make this sauce with a few easy-to-find ingredients in no more than fifteen minutes! This family-approved Alfredo Sauce is way better than the store-bought jar bottled version.

Whip up a batch within five to ten minutes or easily double the ingredients if needed. If you are like me who loves homemade sauces, this recipe is a great start. Enjoy restaurant-quality dishes with this quick-to-make Alfredo sauce. You can easily modify the flavour depending on your preference. This is commonly made of butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese but feel free to twist things up a little by adding garlic, pepper, or your preferred seasoning. It’s no doubt why Alfredo sauce is labelled the most ordered, used, and popular sauce.

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter

1 1/2 c. heavy cream

2 oz. cream cheese (this is optional but it makes the sauce creamier)

1/2 tsp fresh garlic (minced)

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese (freshly grated )

1/4 tsp nutmeg (optional)

How to make Homemade Alfredo Sauce

Step 1: Add the butter, heavy whipping cream, and if using, cream cheese in a large skillet and heat over medium heat. Stir for about 2 minutes on low heat until the cheese has melted and begins to simmer lightly.

Step 2: To the skillet, add in the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Whisk for about a minute. If you want a more garlicky flavour, add garlic in melted butter and cook for about a minute, then add to the ingredients from step 1.

Step 3: Adjust the heat to low before adding in the Parmesan cheese and continue stirring until melted.

Step 4: When done, serve with your preferred pasta. If desired, sprinkle some nutmeg on top for a very subtle nutty flavour. Enjoy immediately.
