This healthy stir-fry is a million better than take out! Crazy delicious and perfect with steamed veggies, salad, noodles, rice, or quinoa.
Ingredients
4 Chicken Breast, cut into bite-size pieces
1 medium Onion – thinly sliced
1 Green Bell Pepper – cut into thin long bite-size pieces
1 Large Carrot – cut into thin long bite-size pieces
1 Small Broccoli – cut into bite-size pieces
4 tablespoons Sesame Oil – you can use Olive oil too
2 teaspoons Sesame Seeds
2 tablespoons Roasted Peanuts – optional
Sauce:
6 tablespoons Soy Sauce
4 tablespoons Worcester Sauce – Optional
1/2 teaspoon Ginger Paste – can use ginger powder
1 teaspoon Rice Vinegar – can use white vinegar also
1 tablespoon Honey – can use agave, sugar
1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
1 teaspoon Chili Flakes – Optional
1/2 teaspoon Salt (As per your taste)
How to make Healthy Stir Fry Sesame Chicken
Step 1: Whisk the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, Worcester Sauce, Ginger Paste, Rice Vinegar, Honey, Black Pepper Powder, Chili Flakes, and salt) in a small bowl and set aside.
Step 2: Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok or non-stick pan over high heat.
Step 3: Adjust the heat to medium, then add the chicken to the pan. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every half a minute to evenly cook the chicken.
Step 4: Into a medium bowl, transfer the cooked chicken.
Step 5: Add a tbsp sesame oil in the same wok. Add the veggies and stir-fry for about a minute.
Step 6: At this point, add the cooked chicken into the wok along with the sauce and peanuts. Saute for about 2 to 3 minutes over high heat.
Step 7: Turn the heat off.
Step 8: To a serving dish, transfer the Stir-fry Sesame Chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds on top. Enjoy hot.
