This is my favourite summer bread! Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread is made with only a few simple ingredients and ready in no time. It is the quickest and easiest bread you can make all year round!
I love to put a special touch on everything I do and that includes cooking. This recipe speaks my work. The tropical spin makes this bread interesting. Melt-in-your-mouth banana bread that’s great for everybody. Don’t skip on this simple recipe, especially if you love pineapple, bananas, walnuts, or macadamia nuts!
Ingredients
2 large eggs
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. mashed ripe banana, from 2 bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or chopped macadamia nuts
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
How to make Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using a baking spray, grease a loaf pan. Alternately, you can lightly coat it in butter, then dust with flour. For easy removal, I recommend placing a strip of parchment paper in the loaf pan.
Step 2: Place the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well.
Step 3: Whisk the eggs, vanilla, vegetable oil, banana, and pineapple in another medium bowl until well blended.
Step 4: To the dry mixture, add the wet mixture, mixing until the batter has just moistened. Fold in the chopped nuts.
Step 5: Into the prepared loaf pan, pour the batter. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the centre of the bread comes out clean.
Step 6: Take the bread out of the oven once done and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it to a wire rack.
Step 7: Slice and serve. Enjoy!
