8 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 c. beef broth
10 ounces egg noodles, uncooked
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 c. sour cream
HOW TO MAKE GROUND BEEF STROGANOFF
Step 1: Melt the butter in a large skillet. Once melted, add the mushrooms and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes until brown and cooked down. Set the cooked mushrooms aside and keep warm.
Step 2: Into the same pan, add the ground beef and onions. Break the meat up and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes until cooked through. Add in the garlic and continue to cook for a minute more.
Step 3: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce.
Step 4: Add in the flour, mixing until it is completely incorporated.
Step 5: Pour in the broth, then add in the noodles and season with salt and pepper. Mix and bring to a boil. Cover the pan, decrease the heat, and simmer for about 10 minutes until the noodles are done.
Step 6: Take the pan out of the heat and quickly stir in the mushrooms and sour cream. Adjust the seasoning according to taste.
