Making steak is not as hard as you might think. This easy recipe will guarantee a delicious garlic flavoured and juicy-tender steak that you can make either on the grill or skillet. And the marinade is made of only pantry staples so, you do not have to worry about breaking the bank! For a light, healthy dinner, serve this with your favourite roasted/grilled veggies or on a bed of mashed potatoes for the most scrumptious meal perfect for everybody!

INGREDIENTS

Marinade:

4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

4 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon kosher salt

3 tablespoons minced garlic

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon onion powder

Steaks:

1 ½ pounds steaks 2-4 steaks (I love Sirloin, Ribeye, or New York Cut Steaks!)

How to make Garlic Steak Marinade

Step 1: Place the marinade ingredients in a small bowl. Whisk until well mixed.

Step 2: To a resealable zip lock bag or large bowl, add the steaks. Pour the marinade on the steaks. Before sealing the bag, squeeze as much air out as you can, then seal. Let the steaks marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Step 3: Steaks in skillet: Preheat a skillet on high heat until hot. Add the steaks to the skillet once hot and sear for about 3 minutes per side. Adjust the heat to medium-high and continue to cook the steaks, flipping as needed, to your desired doneness. It normally takes approximately 10 minutes to cook the steak depending on the thickness. For medium, the internal temperature of the steak should reach 145 degrees.

Step 4: On the Grill: To medium-high, preheat the grill. Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook each side for about 4 to 6 minutes until the internal temperature of the steak reads 145 degrees for medium.

Step 5: Before serving, allow the steak to rest for at least 3 minutes. Enjoy!
