Fall off the bone chicken in a garlic butter sauce. A breeze to prep, simply dump everything in the crockpot, sit back, and enjoy the smell of the chicken while it cooks.
This Garlic Roasted Chicken is one of my family’s favourite dinner rotation. Surely a no-fuss and taste incredible always! We enjoy this tender and juicy chicken with its sauce alongside rice, our favourite veggies, or mashed potatoes. So good, this will become your favourite, too!

Ingredients
5 pounds whole chicken
salt and pepper
5 cloves garlic, mashed smooth
paprika
1/4 pound butter
1/2 cup canned chicken broth
How to make Garlic Roasted Chicken
Step 1: Using cold water, wash the chicken and pat dry with a paper towel.
Step 2: Slice off and discard any excess fat on the chicken.
Step 3: Peel the garlic and chop. Or use a garlic press if available.
Step 4: Press the garlic with a knife to make a paste. Add a bit of salt to the garlic to help it turn into pasta quicker.
Step 5: Inside the cavity of the chicken, spread half of the garlic. And rub the rest on the entire chicken.
Step 6: With paprika, salt, and pepper, sprinkle the inside and out of the chicken.
Step 7: In the crockpot, place the chicken and dab with a few pats of butter. Around the chicken, pour in the broth, then add the rest of the butter in the broth.
Step 8: Cover with the lid and set on a low setting. Cook the chicken for 6 to 8 hours. The cooking time depends on how hot the crockpot is. Make sure to not raise the lid when cooking.
Step 9: Serve the chicken with the hot garlic butter sauce. Enjoy!
