GARLIC BACON MUSHROOMS

This garlic bacon mushroom is my ultimate favourite side dish! I love how simple this recipe is. It is also so easy and quick to make using just five ingredients I can find in my cupboard. This amazing side dish is also perfect to serve for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The best part is, this is 00% gluten-free plus paleo plus Whole30 approved!

I super love bacon! They have that earthy flavour that you’ll crave again and again. I have friends who never liked bacon until this garlic bacon mushroom. I never hesitate to serve this to them because I am confident that they will love every bit of this. Guess what? I am right! That first bite changed everything! They even asked me for the recipe! If you have friends who said they don’t like mushrooms, make this for them. I am pretty sure this pretty amazing side dish will change their lives!

If you also love simple side dishes that you can whip up any time and quickly, then this is perfect! This also pairs so well with just about anything.

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds mixed mushrooms, sliced

½ pound thick-cut bacon

1 onion, thinly sliced

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 cloves garlic, finely minced

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC BACON MUSHROOMS

Step 1: To a large frying pan, cook the bacon over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes or until the fat releases, and the bacon is cooked but not crispy.

Step 2: To the pan, add the mushrooms. Adjust the heat to high and cook the mushrooms for about 6 to 7 minutes until the liquid has evaporated. Adjust the heat to medium-high before adding in the onions. Continue to cook for additional 5 minutes.

Step 3: Now, add the garlic and cook for a minute more. To taste, season with sea salt and black pepper.
