This garlic bacon mushroom is my ultimate favourite side dish! I love how simple this recipe is. It is also so easy and quick to make using just five ingredients I can find in my cupboard. This amazing side dish is also perfect to serve for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The best part is, this is 00% gluten-free plus paleo plus Whole30 approved!
I super love bacon! They have that earthy flavour that you’ll crave again and again. I have friends who never liked bacon until this garlic bacon mushroom. INGREDIENTS
2 pounds mixed mushrooms, sliced
½ pound thick-cut bacon
1 onion, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
HOW TO MAKE GARLIC BACON MUSHROOMS
Step 1: To a large frying pan, cook the bacon over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes or until the fat releases, and the bacon is cooked but not crispy.
Step 2: To the pan, add the mushrooms. Adjust the heat to high and cook the mushrooms for about 6 to 7 minutes until the liquid has evaporated. Adjust the heat to medium-high before adding in the onions. Continue to cook for additional 5 minutes.
Step 3: Now, add the garlic and cook for a minute more. To taste, season with sea salt and black pepper.
