¼ c milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 slices SASKO More Slices White Bread
3 tablespoons butter, softened
2 slices sandwich ham
1/3 c grated cheese
½ spring onion, sliced
Serving suggestion:
Tomato sauce
Chopped fresh parsley and chives
How to make French Toast Foldover
Step 1: Place the eggs and milk in a medium bowl. Whisk until well mixed and season to taste.
Step 2: Spread butter on both sides of the (2 slices) bread and set aside.
Step 3: Melt 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 4: Add the egg mixture, immediately placing the slices of bread next to each other over the omelette. Make sure that the bread soaks up some of the egg mixtures. Quickly flip the slices of bread.
Step 5: Wait for the egg to set and turn the whole omelette including the bread over.
Step 6: Continue to cook for a minute more until the bottom of the omelette is golden brown.
Step 7: Onto the two slices of bread, flip the four overlapping egg sides.
Step 8: Place the ham on top of the other slice of bread and sprinkle with grated cheese followed by spring onion.
Step 9: To form a sandwich, flip the other side of the bread without the cover over the other. And cook for 30 to 60 seconds on both sides.
Step 10: Using a spatula, remove the omelette sandwich once it turned golden-brown on either side and transfer onto a plate.
Step 11: Sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs and serve the French Toast Omelette with tomato sauce dip. Enjoy!
