Crockpot recipes have been saving my life for a decade now. I love that it does at least 80 per cent of the works for me. And crockpot recipes are as amazing, and this French Dip recipe is no exception. A kind of dish that is perfect for busy nights and during the days that you don’t feel like cooking. This sure as heck is a keeper and a lifesaver! If you want an easy and simple recipe to cook for lunch or dinner, you have got to give this one a try! 3 lb chuck roast
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 cans Campbell’s French Onion Soup
1 can Beef Consomme Soup
8 hoagie rolls
8-16 slices provolone (depending on if you want one or two pieces of cheese on each sandwich
How to make French Dip Crock Pot Dinner
Step 1: In vegetable oil, cook the chuck roast until browned.
Step 2: Add the French Onion Soup and Beef Consomme Soup into the chuck roast.
Step 3: Slow cook the chuck roast for 4 hours on high or 8 to 10 hours on low.
Step 4: Once done, take the roast out of the slow cooker and into a bowl. Discard the fatty pieces.
Step 5: Discard any bigger chunks of meat or fat out of the juice that is left in the pot.
Step 6: Transfer the juice from the crockpot into a pan. Simmer on the stovetop until the sauce is reduced to half.
Step 7: Place the shredded meat onto the hoagie rolls or slices of french bread. Top with provolone cheese.
Step 8: Broil the sandwiches until the cheese browned.
