Flavorfully Fantastic Chicken Salad Sandwich

Two days ago, I was looking for a new and easy recipe that I can try for my best friend’s birthday and this one just got my attention instantly! I am not a very good cook but I try now and then to at least learn. This recipe is really easy that even a newbie like me can pull off. I bet you can do it better than me so I hope you give it a try. The flavors in this Chicken Salad Sandwich will blow your minds out! Growing up, I always bring a sandwich in school. It is pretty much what I always eat as a kid. I know that this really simple but I just feel proud that I was able to make it from scratch!  The creaminess of the sauce and the chicken are the best thing about this recipe. Be very generous with the chicken if you want a full-packed sandwich! I only listed 1 can but feel free to add more. This serves 2ito 3 people so if you are making for at least 10, just add more of the ingredients. I can’t wait for you to try it. Just follow these steps and you are in for a treat. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 10 oz can white meat chicken

12 pecans, finely chopped

1 shallot, finely chopped

1/2 green apple, finely chopped

1 stick of celery, finely chopped

6-12 dried cranberries or cherries, chopped

1-1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise

salt and pepper to taste

1 small tomato, diced

1-2 whole-wheat pitas, cut in half

How to Make Flavorfully Fantastic Chicken Salad Sandwich

Step 1: In a small bowl, combine the white meat chicken, pecans, shallot, green apple, celery, cranberries or cherries, mayonnaise, and salt-and-pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly.

Step 2: Once the mixture is well mixed, gently stir in the tomatoes.

Step 3: Generously stuff the salad into the pitas. Enjoy!
