These taco salad cups never fail to amaze everyone. I usually make these using ground beef with taco seasoning, cheese, and a dollop of guacamole and salsa, but they are also fantastic with any taco filling.
Ingredients
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/3 c. ground beef or turkey
12 wonton wrappers
1/2 c. shredded Mexican cheese blend
2 tsp taco seasoning
1/2 c. homemade or store-bought guacamole
1 c. finely shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce
1/4 c. sour cream
1/2 c. homemade or store-bought salsa
Cooking spray
How to make Taco Salad Cups
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a 12-cup muffin pan, arrange the wonton wrappers. Lightly spray them with cooking spray. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake the wonton cups for about 5 minutes. Set the wonton cups aside once done.
Step 3: To a medium pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-low heat. Add the ground beef to the pan once the oil is hot. Cook, breaking the meat apart using a spatula until no longer pink and completely cooked. Stir in the taco seasoning, then take the pan off the heat.
Step 4: To assemble the taco cups: Evenly divide the ground meat among the wonton cups. Top each with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, and a dollop of guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. Enjoy!
