Easy Stuffed Shells

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 25 mins | Total Time: 35 mins | Servings: 10

This dish is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal. Jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a smooth, creamy, and cheesy filling with a touch of fresh herbs, then baked to perfection.

Ingredients

12 ounces jumbo pasta shells

1 tablespoon kosher salt

30 ounces whipped cottage cheese

6 ounces Parmesan cheese grated

1 Egg

1 to 2 garlic clove minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley minced

3/4 c. fresh basil leaves finely chopped (about 8 to 10 leaves)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

28 ounces marinara sauce

8 ounces mozzarella cheese grated

How to make Easy Stuffed Shells

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: With cooking spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

Step 3: On the bottom of the prepared dish, spread half of the marinara sauce. Set aside.

Step 4: Cook the pasta shell in a large pot of salted boiling water for about 3 minutes until almost al dente (or according to package directions).

Step 5: When done, drain and rinse with cool water. Set aside.

Step 6: Combine the whipped cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.

Step 7: Into the shells, spoon the mixture, and nest them over the sauce.

Step 8: With the rest of the sauce, cover the shells and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.

Step 9: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes until hot and bubbly.

Step 10: Remove from the oven and enjoy immediately.
