Easy Oven Baked Pork Chops

by Rebecca October 25, 2021

Prep time: 5 mins | Resting time: 5 mins | Cook time: 20 mins | Total time: 30 mins | Servings: 4

Tender, succulent pork chops that are perfectly seasoned and baked. So easy and fast to make, and the result is brilliant! Serve this with your favourite side dish for a filling meal that everyone around the table will love!

Ingredients

Dry Rub:

1/2 tsp garlic powder

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano

1 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp ground black pepper

1/2 tsp sea salt

Pork:

2 tbsp olive oil

4 boneless pork chops (1-inch thick)

How to make Easy Oven Baked Pork Chops

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. For easy cleaning up line a baking sheet using aluminum foil or parchment paper.

Step 2: Place the dry rub ingredients in a small bowl and mix well until combined.

Step 3: Massage both sides of the pork chops with olive oil, then season them with the dry rub. Lay the chops onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the pork chops for about 20 to 25 minutes or until their internal temperature reached about 140 to 145 degrees.

Step 5: When done, take the pork chops off the heat. Cover them with aluminium foil and allow the chops to rest for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 6: Serve and enjoy!

Tips:

The internal temperature of the pork chops should be around 145 degrees.

Once the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 140 degrees, remove them from the oven and allow them to rest for at least 5 minutes to distribute the heat and reach 145 degrees.

I suggest using an instant-read thermometer for best results.

The cooking time varies depending on the thickness and size of the pork chops.

For this recipe, you can also use about an inch thickness (minimum) bone-in pork chops. Simply adjust the cooking time accordingly.
