Easy Meatloaf

by Rebecca July 6, 2020

Who would not want a tender, juicy, and easy to prepare meatloaf? I mean meatloaf is a staple and we have our family’s own recipe that has been passed from generation to generation. But this recipe I can say is the easiest there is. A meatloaf that is tender and juicy on the inside that has so much flavor because of the sweet and tangy glaze that adds so much more to our favorite dinner menu – the easy meatloaf. The ingredients come together perfectly for an irresistibly tender and juicy meatloaf. It is mouth-watering, bursting with flavors, and every bite is just perfect! Great to serve with mashed potatoes or asparagus as a side dish. Or anything that you prefer. And the glaze, oh that sweet and tangy sauce that adds so much flavor to our traditional meatloaf is to die for! This recipe is a keeper. A must-have and a must-try.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 egg

1 onion, chopped

1 cup milk

1 cup dried bread crumbs

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons prepared mustard

1/3 cup ketchup

How to make Easy Meatloaf

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.

Step 2: Combine the beef, egg, onion, milk, and bread or cracker crumbs in a large bowl. Then, season with salt and pepper. Mix well until incorporated.

Step 3: Pour the mixture in a lightly greased 5 x 9-inch loaf pan. You can also form it into a loaf and transfer to a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

Step 4: Combine the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup in another bowl. Mix until well combined.

Step 5: And generously pour the glaze over the meatloaf.

Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for an hour. Once done, remove from the oven and serve immediately. Serve with mashed potato or asparagus. Enjoy!
